Once in a lifetime Dural estate with full sized tennis court and basketball court stuns market

One of the most highly sought after estates in Dural has hit the market and is expected to double its price when it goes under the hammer next month.

The ten bedroom, eight bathroom estate at 17-19 Vineys Lane in Dural sprawls across 3.72 hectares of land and was designed by Lufti architects.

Consisting of 3,300 sqm of solid brick and concrete over four levels, the property includes east and west wings with luxury amenities such as a billiards room with a bar, an indoor basketball court and a media room.

The basement level itself has a cellar, gymnasium, and a spa and sauna room while the fourth floor includes a studio with amazing views of the property.

Listed via Lumby Hampson agents Will Hampson and Kate Lumby, the estate is situated in one of the most popular enclaves in Dural.

Previously selling for $5.45m in 2005, the estate is expected to double its price at auction on the 26th November.
While Mr Hampson did not specify what the Dural property would sell for at auction, he pointed to other relevant sales as 19 Carters Rd, 5 Yuruga Rd and 2 Haven Place – each of which sold for $10.85m and $11m respectively.

“This is a rare once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to secure this palatial luxurious resort estate,” Mr Hampson said.

The median house price for a property in Dural currently stands at $2.456m – 18.1 per cent higher when compared to the price from October 2021.

What happened during past market downturns?

“It’s one of the best properties in Dural with 9.2 acres of land, as it is larger than the standard 5 acre parcel. The construction of the home is incredible, given it is double brick construction with soaring 3.6m high ceilings and many unique features.”

The current sellers have used it as a home residence to be enjoyed by the family with lifestyle inclusions like the tennis court, basketball court and horse paddocks. They are now looking to downsize.

“It is absolutely magnificent – this is a property that is grand in size and in its lifestyle,” Mr Hampson said.

“We know there is massive demand for lifestyle estates and this is another level of living in The Hills’ prestige market, so it will definitely resonate with high-end buyers looking for a private escape without moving out of Sydney,” Mr Hampson said.
